This is really fun!

Milo is at the babysitter today, for his first time ever, while I am on call at work so meanwhile I am cleaning, doing laundry, and blogging of course! I'm going to try my hand at posting cool links. thanks for the help Melody!
This will be the next cake I make (I'm not going to buy that, i think I can do my own)
If Milo is going to be a picky eater his whole life, I want to get him this to make eating funner (as if it could be any funner than it is already!)
When we move out of my mom's house into our own, I'm going to make this to say 'welcome to my hizzle'
I think this will be my next nephew/neice birthday present
I've always wanted one of these, so why not just make it
This is a great/cheap idea
I desperately want this
and if I had money, (and a use for them) I'd get these

I just became the person who doesn't know how to add photos to their profile...
Also, I don't know how to do that thing that people have where you click on a word and it's actually a link to a cool website. I don't even know what that's called so I can't google it.
Well I know how to add a photo to a post though so I believe I will do that so you can bask in my cuteness ;)
...And of course I can't find any recent pictures on this computer. Oh well. This pic was probably taken when milo was maybe 3 months old or something, back when he was still a big-time barfer (must've been a new burp rag...) and would let me put him in this thing. that probably only happened two or three times. I probably could've doneit more but it was so hard for me to get him in that thing alone...
In our old apartment, we lived right across the street from this beautiful cemetery that i would take Milo walking in all summer long. And we lived up in the Avenues, which are so pretty in the summer that I would just want to walk up and down them all day. But, as it turns out, Milo hated his stroller, so I'm sure I looked a little weird walking up and down streets just awkwardly holding this baby but i loved it!

I Hope I Never Forget This

Listen to the mustn'ts, child,
Listen to the don'ts
Listen to the shouldn'ts
The impossibles, the won'ts
Listen to the never have's,
Then listen close to me--
Anything can happen, child,
Anything can be.

I also really like this one

The Little Boy and the Old Man by Shel Silverstein
Said the little boy, "Sometimes I drop my spoon."
Said the old man, "I do that too."
The little boy whispered, "I wet my pants."
"I do that too," laughed the little old man.
Said the little boy, "I often cry."
The old man nodded, "So do I."
"But worst of all," said the boy, "it seems
Grown-ups don't pay attention to me."
And he felt the warmth of a wrinkled old hand.
"I know what you mean," said the little old man.

Lazy Sunday Night

Today was one of those days. The amazing ones. I kept thinking, "Wow I really need to get a picture of this," but then I thought some more and realized that I would rather just take it all in with my eyes and my ears and try to remember it the best I could rather than seeing everything from the lens of a camera. I know that's how some people work but not me I guess. My memory serves me well for things like that! Today was the warmest it's been since last year (minus two or three fakeout spring days a while back). On those days Milo and I did things outdoors (the zoo, wheeler farm, the park, etc.) but today was Milo's first time really playing outside. and we played alllll day long! I hadn't realized how much he has learned without me even trying to teach him. It's kind of scary but also really uhh, can't think of the word. My memory sucks at things like that. It just puts me in awe of little Milo. he actually started singing along to a song! Well one word, but every time the song played, he would sing the right word at the right time in the right pitch. And he's only 13 months old. I don't know if this is a normal development for his age or not, but I choose to believe he's amazing! He's also getting more affectionate. He's never ever been the kind of kid that enjoys snuggling with his mommy, from the time he could push people away, or even scream when he was being cuddled too close, he's done it. But lately he'll walk up to me(yes, walk - he can do that now!) and just lay his head on me for a second and then go on his way. It's a nice little reassurance that he knows I'm his mom. I've been a little over-paranoid about that ever since he was born. I'm still not sure if he knows the word 'mommy' is me but who cares. Anyway, we played all day with some balls (he calls them cools, maybe because I always tell him they're circles...?) and we rode his little bike thingy and went on walks, rode in the swing our awesome neighbors gifted us, yelled at their dogs for a while, pulled grass, and overall took in the warm spring sun. I really really really hope the weather continues to be warm. I don't think milo can take another day inside when he knows what's out there...
ps, Milo just said 'dog' in his sleep. cute!
